Celeste H.G. Boyd
Of Counsel
Ms. Boyd, a Yale Law School graduate, works with the Paynter Law Firm on matters involving primarily antitrust, intellectual property, and consumer protection. During law school, she worked at the Legal Aid Society—Employment Law Center in San Francisco; as a Summer Associate at Morrison | Foerster LLP, and as the Student Director of the Community Lawyering Clinic at Yale, helping low-income New Haven residents access legal services. After graduating from law school, Ms. Boyd moved back to her hometown of Albuquerque, NM for a year while her husband, an Army officer, deployed to Iraq. There, she worked as a Staff Attorney at the New Mexico Center on Law & Poverty until her husband returned and was relocated, first to Kansas City, and then to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, where they currently reside.
In addition to her work with the Paynter Law Firm, Ms. Boyd maintains an independent practice as a freelance attorney, taking project-based legal work from attorneys, law firms, nonprofits, and corporate legal departments. Ms. Boyd is a member of the bars of New Mexico and North Carolina, is not licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia or any other state, and her work with The Paynter Law Firm is out of the firm's North Carolina office.
