Michael S. Gerton

After graduating with honors
from the University of Rochester Mr. Gerton earned a law degree from the University of
Maryland School of Law, where he was selected as a research assistant to Professor Michael
Millemann and practiced as a Rule 16 student attorney in the General Practice clinic,
representing low income clients in family and education matters. Mr. Gerton also served
as a law clerk to Ira Rainess of Silverman, Thompson, Slutkin & White, with a
concentration in resolving contract and misappropriation disputes on behalf of elite
pro athletes and entertainers. His current practice is focused primarily on antitrust,
consumer protection and intellectual property matters.
In 2009, Mr. Gerton authored "Kids' Play: Examining the Impact of the CBC Distribution Decision on College Fantasy Sports," which was published by the Texas Review of Entertainment & Sports Law (11 Tex. Rev. Ent. & Sports L. 153). Mr. Gerton is a member of the Maryland bar and the District of Columbia.
